This year our Wound Awareness Week theme is “Let’s Talk About Wounds, and our goal is to get people talking about the rising issue of wounds. We are reaching out to health care professionals and politicians to help us spread awareness of what the wound warning signs are, who’s at risk and what someone should do if they have a wound that won’t heal.

How can you help? It’s simple.

  • We’ve created some promotional materials which can be accessed from our ‘resource section’ that we would love you to share with general public so that they can find out more about wounds. For example, you would put the posters up at your work during Wound Awareness Week. You could also spread the message about wounds by delivering a presentation to a local community group or setup a stand at your local shopping centre.
  • To encourage the sharing of Wound Awareness Week message across social media, we are running a competition to win a $150 Amazon voucher. More details about the competition will be announced soon.
  • If you are interested in learning more about wound care and management then take a look at our Wounds Australia Membership.

Let’s work together to raise awareness about wounds from 15th to 21st July, 2019. #LetsTalkAboutWounds
